| To our communities, allies, and fellow Greens,
We write to you today with deep sorrow and unwavering solidarity.
In recent days, we have witnessed a renewed wave of violent and militarized raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) across California—sweeping through Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco with tactical gear, armed force, and blatant disregard for human dignity.
These are not simply immigration enforcement actions. They are acts of state
violence—deliberate tools of fear, disruption, and dehumanization. Families have been ripped apart in their homes, children detained without clarity, and entire communities thrown into trauma and uncertainty. This is not law enforcement. It is psychological warfare against immigrant families, disproportionately affecting the Latino community.
As the Arab American and Muslim American Caucus of the Green Party, we stand in full and vocal solidarity with our Latino siblings who are facing this assault. We recognize in these actions the same patterns we have seen deployed against Palestinian mothers and families—militarized raids in the dead of night, family separation, checkpoints and cages, the targeting of civilians under the guise of "security," and a legal system designed to deny
humanity.
To tear families apart at gunpoint is to destroy the soul of a community. We know this pain. We see it in the faces of Palestinian children orphaned or imprisoned. We feel it in the echoes of Muslim bans, surveillance programs, and broken promises of justice. And we see it again now—in these raids, checkpoints, detentions, and forced disappearances in U.S. neighborhoods that should be sanctuaries of life, not zones of terror.
We reject this logic of militarized policing—whether in Gaza, the Bronx, or the barrios of East L.A.
We call on all Green Party members, particularly those across the West Coast and Southwest, to rise in defense of immigrant families:
▪ Defend and expand sanctuary protections in cities, counties, and institutions.
▪ Organize community defense and rapid response networks to shield those under threat.
▪ Demand that local and state officials reject all cooperation with ICE and federal deportation regimes.
▪ Donate to and amplify frontline organizations including the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), Immigrant Defenders Law Center, and Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
▪ Build relationships between Arab, Muslim, and Latino communities grounded in solidarity, shared struggle, and mutual protection.

To those impacted by ICE raids: you are not alone. We see you, we grieve with you, and we commit ourselves to resisting with you. This is not the end of your story—it is the call to collective defense and liberation.
The Arab and Muslim American Caucus of the Green Party condemns the use of military-grade tactics against civilians in any context, whether imposed by ICE, the NYPD, or the Israeli occupation. We call for justice not just for those detained—but for every family wounded by the politics of fear.
We will not rest until every family is whole, and every community can live with dignity and without fear.
In solidarity and shared struggle,
The Arab and Muslim American Caucus
Green Party of the United States
