Mark Your Calendars: The 52nd Arab and Chaldean Festival Returns to Hart Plaza This July

Yalla habibi — it’s that time of the year again!

The Arab and Chaldean Festival is coming back to Hart Plaza in Downtown Detroit on Saturday and Sunday, July 26–27, 2025, and it’s shaping up to be another legendary weekend. This marks the 52nd annual celebration, and let’s just say, if you haven’t been yet… are you even from the Metro Detroit area?

Known as the largest Arab and Chaldean cultural event in all of North America (yup, we said it), this two-day fest is the ultimate celebration of food, music, tradition, and vibes. From sizzling shawarma and vine-wrapped grape leaves to folk dancers spinning in colorful costumes, this is the place where generations gather, uncles bring out the debke shoes, and toddlers chase clowns while their moms shop for handcrafted accessories.

✨ Highlights include:

  • Ethnic foods that will make you forget about your diet
  • A cultural gallery with art, heritage, and history
  • Live Middle Eastern performances by star singers & folk dancers
  • A full-on fashion show on Sunday at 7:00 PM (bring the glam!)
  • Oh, and did we mention? It’s FREE

Whether you’re Chaldean, Arab, or just someone who knows good hummus when they taste it, this festival is a must-attend. Bring the whole family, catch the performances, and support a community that continues to enrich the fabric of Detroit.
