You thought you were just going to Ann Arbor to look at some paintings, didn’t you? Surprise — you witnessed democracy in action.
At this year’s Ann Arbor Art Fair, something historic happened: Pat Zabawa, Executive Director of Rank MI Vote, proudly signed one of the first official petitions to bring Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) to the state of Michigan.
This moment is a big deal. Like, “tell-your-teta-to-sign” big.
Ranked Choice Voting is all about giving you the power to rank candidates by preference instead of choosing just one. No more spoiler votes. No more choosing “the lesser evil.” It’s real democracy — the way it should be.
And now, it’s hitting the streets of Michigan.

Whether you’re in Dearborn, Detroit, or way up in Marquette — this is your chance to help reshape how elections work in Michigan. No sides, no parties — just better choices, and better representation.
