We are in this together is a non-scripted, live, non-profit, broadcast by Dearborn Blog, hosted by Wissam Charafeddine, to have conversations, that become oral history records, of our lives during the COVID19 pandemic also known as coronavirus Pandemic. These are personal stories of our lives during these unprecedented social isolation measures, in a globalized world.
Shatha Sbeta was born and raised in Tripoli, Libya. One year before the revolution, she went to United World Colleges Program in Canada for 2 years. In 2012, she moved to the United States to complete her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Human Development and Social Relations. She also completed her MA degree in International Studies with a focus on computational analytics. She cofounded Arab Research and Advocacy Bureau, previously known as Arab Millennial. Today, she runs a social enterprise called De-Orientalizing Art that brings artwork made by Libyan female artists in Libya.
