Ranging from immigrant strife, yearning to homeland, expressing Middle East political struggles, to love and passion poetry, poets from Dearborn gather in the first Open Mic in Dearborn that focuses on Arab American poetry, creative writing, short story, and artistic expression.
The program is open casually for attendees to participate, and usually features both works of art in English and Arabic.
The program is organized by Wissam Charafeddine, founder of Dearborn Blog, and W Institute, and hosted by the Arab American Museum represented by Mr. Rafat Mandwee.
