Ford Road is getting a makeover. The Michigan Department of Transportation is making a multi-million dollar investment along roadway in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights starting in April. The $2.7 million project will mill and resurface almost two miles of Ford Road between Telegraph and Inkster roads.

Two Corvettes were wheeled away in an overnight heist from a Dearborn lots, reported police. One the ‘Vettes has been recovered, police. The Corvettes are black, 2019 Corvettes, according Dearborn Police Lt. Gary Mann. The cars were owned by a nearby dealership.

A 21-year-old woman, whose family says she was last before she went to volunteer at a shelter in Detroit, has gone missing, police said. Police are asking the public to help her. The woman, Rebecca Ann Thornhill, 21, is 4-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 115 pounds.

Bryant Middle School in Dearborn was on lockdown Wednesday after police received a call that someone in the area had a gun. A spokesperson from the Dearborn Police Department told Patch they believe the call was a hoax, but investigated the matter.

A pair of armed robbers who held up the Family Dollar store in the city are wanted by Dearborn Heights police. Dearborn Heights police are looking for two men who robbed a Dollar Store in the city on March 12. Both suspects are described as black males in their 20s — one about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build wearing a white sweatshirt and the other about 6 feet tall with a thin build wearing a black hooded jacket.

A 57-year-old Dearborn man is accused of inappropriately touching two other adult men and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday on two counts of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct.
