Where Are The People? A poetry mini film by jessica Care moore

Where Are The People is a mini film by poet jessica Care moore. The poem is in her latest collection, We Want Our Bodies Back on Harper/Amistad. The film highlights some of the independent business that have survived gentrification in the Cass Corridor neighborhood of Detroit. The live recording with JCM and Trey Simon was done at WDET, and the poem is dedicated to Kwame Beard who was a close friend of the poet, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in the area.
